Brighton Township, MI
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and Toebe Construction chose Kent Companies to support the construction of new through-lanes on I-96 and the rebuilding of six bridges for US-23 and Old US-23. The bridges required tiebacks to secure the temporary steel sheet piling. Helical tiebacks provided a method to quickly and securely support the bridge structures. Tiebacks were installed with mini excavators, which lowered mobilization costs and shortened the completion time. Each tieback was load tested by an independent testing service.
